Here’s the Deal
The About A Girl story needs a major rewrite. Right now it’s good, but it could be great. The problem is that that could take while. So I’m asking you guys: Do you want the okay version now, and then the edited version later? Or just wait for the edited version? Tell me.

I’d lik to see both, get a sense of how you developed the story from one level of quality to the next. I’m always about that when it comes to good writing.

I think you should put up what you have now. Here’s why. I lurked The Idiot Board today and read all the comments about your site. The overwhelming consensus is that you’re a brilliant writer with a story to tell. I’d recommend telling the story and giving your friends and readership the material, even if it’s not 100% edited to your perfection. Your talent supersedes everything else, and right now I think people want the conclusion to this story because it’s that damn good of a story.
I proof read the motherfuckah, so I know.

Post it. The quality of writing is good, even if it may not be perfect to you. The content is what really counts, and it’s f’ing great!

Take your time, do it right. Personally, I’d much rather read your best work rather than something you threw together, even if it’s perfectly good writing in it’s own right. If you have a serious plan to improve it, then following through on it will make your later posts that much better for it.

I would read both versions if you put them up. I love reading your stories and the sooner the better for me, but you have to be happy within yourself as to what you put up.

While I can appreciate the offer, I would say that you should present material only in its final form, that you are satisfied with. It’s your story, tell it your way. Good stories are like magic tricks, if you see behind the curtain, it sometimes might not be as entertaining. Good luck either way, and I like the site.
